The apartment is a large two bedroom which offers a spectacular position on the site whereby your private apartment is not overlooked and you have views out to the sea.

Cyprus is an amazing place to holiday – and has been part of our lives for 15 years … so much that we are taking a long term rental!! People are friendly, generous and trusting.

From the chic Paphos harbor (2k from the apartment and 2 euro return on the bus at the end of the road) where you can enjoy a beer or wine and people watching through to the more traditional Cypriot villages of Polis and Latchi. A slow meander across the Akamas mountains (try spotting the shy moufflon the animal of Cyprus) stopping off at small villages for local baked bread, olives and wine and then onto Polis and Latchi. Latchi has fantastic water sports on offer and a lovely beach as well as a waterfront full of bars and tavernas offering locally caught fish dishes and belly filling mezes. Spend a night in Polis where Costas in his bar keeps you entertained with his singing and playing guitar (beware you can’t stop yourself joining in). Stay the night at the Stephanos Hotel, really good value for money and a brilliant Cypriot breakfast sets you up for the journey back to the apartment.

Cost of living – if you eat and drink “Cypriot Style” you will live like royalty. If you are a meat eater, the local food is amazing: steaks; chicken; stefado (beef stew); afelia (pork in red wine); kleftiko (slow roasted lamb in herbs); fish dishes are abundant – calamari, prawns, crab. Vegetarian – vine leaves and a delicious array of yemista (stuffed vegetables). Or .. if you are really hungry .. try the mezes – meat, fish, veggie or mixed – it just keeps coming !!!

Viklari – The Last Castle in Cyprus – 30 minutes’ drive from apartment – day time What better way to spend an afternoon on top of a mountain eating freshly barbecued chicken; freshly baked bread and the most simplest yet loveliest tasting salad, followed by picking your own grapes from the vines hanging you – all this whilst holding a panoramic view of the sea – absolutely amazing experience and one that I promise you will return to.

Family ran; wines from their own vineyard; salad from their own land; food out of this world – entertainment singing and dancing – so popular now you must book or risk disappointment.
